If you’re looking for good Afghan food, Halal Guys can be your hero. This new addition to the Springfield Plaza may just be better than Chipotle.

Although this place’s dishes are delicious, the setup of the place is a little too tight. One of the problems is the seating, which is very limited. There are only about two family tables and one bar-styled table that is against the windows. The small space is big issue, because there are so many customers that the whole restaurant feels like walking into the DMV. Workers and customers are constantly getting in each others’ way.

If you want to stay inside, you’d have to stand or wait for a table to be open. The only other option is to stay standing or leave the restaurant entirely. In addition to having limited seating, there is also no seating outside. Since Halal Guys is a well- known chain, they should’ve thought the seating situation through.

On the other hand, there are many positives about Halal Guys, including their food, their service, and their prices. I think my favorite thing is definitely the food. Their food is well-cooked and very appetizing. The way the food smells makes you want to dig right in. I would go there every day if I could. As a food- lover, I love how every different component in the dish tastes very good together. The white sauce that Halal Guys is known for is delicious. The sauce tastes salty, but tastes sweet at the same time. Halal Guys even offers dessert, which is made fresh from the oven. This dessert can be fried too! I don’t think you can get desserts like that at Chipotle.

Another thing I really enjoy is the fact that the portions are worth what I pay for. The regular sized entrée is huge. You can probably make it last for two days! One thing that makes Halal Guys better than Chipotle is instead of charging more money for certain meats, they make the prices based on the size. A small is 7.49 even if you wanted gyro, chicken, or both. A regular was just a dollar more.

The last thing I really love is the service. The line, even though it can go out the door, goes very fast. In Chipotle, you would probably wait about 10-15 minutes! At Halal Guys, I waited only five minutes. Now that’s what I call fast food.
