Fourth in the series will star Walberg
“Transformers” fans are already talking about the fourth film, which comes out next June. Die-hard fans are excited to see Mark Wahlberg in the lead role.
Wahlberg, a former rapper now turned movie star, is working with Michael Bay once again.
Last time the two worked together was on the movie “Pain and Gain,” which was in theaters over the summer. Wahlberg had the lead in that film as well. Wahlberg has starred in many movies over the years including The Fighter, Defiance, and Ted. Even though he has a great resume, some are concerned that he won’t live up to Shia Labeouf’s legacy.
Labeouf starred in the original trilogy but will not be returning for the new one. Transformers fans feel that bringing in a new actor and a new main character might be too much change from the original story and ruin the new movies.
Bay showed he is able to replace actors and keep the plot together when Megan Fox left and Bay had to replace her with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the third movie “Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon.”
Many believe, however, that Bay will not be good enough to deal with the changes in the fourth movie.
In the new movie, Wahlberg will be playing a father who gets mixed up with the Transformers and his daughter. Since the movie is called “Age of Extinction,” there is a rumor that the movie will feature Dinobots, a series of characters introduced in the original animated “Transformers” show.
Whether they will be the new villains or working with the autobots is unknown. Villains or heroes fans are excited either way to see the Dinobots in the new movie.
Though there are some doubts about “Transformers 4,” most people are excited to see what will happen on the silver screen in June.
