Zac Efron (re)bounds back

Guess whose head isn’t in the game.

If you guessed former “High School Musical” star Zac Efron, you got it right. It’s been five years since Efron’s Disney days and since then he’s seen nothing but success in his career.

Starring in films like “Seventeen Again,” “The Lucky One” and “Hairspray,” the heartthrob seemed to be straying away from the trend of “Disney Channel stars gone wild” (unlike the lovely Miley Cyrus) and somehow found a way to maintain a spotless reputation.

But apparently this Wildcat is wilder than we thought.  A few weeks ago it was reported that about five months ago Efron completed two rehab stints for an alleged alcohol and cocaine problem.

Fans were stunned and left wondering: “How could this have happened?” but more importantly they wondered “How did no one know?”

Despite having the paparazzi monitoring his every move, he somehow kept his wild side out of public eye and under wraps. Not to mention the fact that Efron had no previously reported issues and showed no signs of experiencing any drug-related/partying problems.

What’s more interesting is that, unlike other celebrities who are acting out for attention as an attempt to get back in the lime light, Efron tried to keep his addiction a secret as much as possible.

Efron claims to be fully recovered from his addiction and swears that he’s now on the right path. Will he go back to his addictive and partying lifestyle? His loyal fan base doesn’t seem to think so.

Efron’s fans remain by his side and are exceptionally confident for what lies ahead of him. Fans like senior Michelle Lipka were originally taken aback by the news and not sure how to react.

“I was really surprised at first, then relieved to hear that he’s better now. I’m happy for him! He understands where he went wrong; I don’t think he’ll go back to the dark side,” said Lipka.

As a whole, fans seem to feel a great sense of relief for him and have vowed to support him no matter what.

Junior Ana Suarez agrees with Lipka and thinks that he, with his whole life and career ahead of him, has a lot to look forward to in the future.

“As long as he’s okay now, it only hurt him in the short term and it’s only uphill from here,” said Suarez.
