Singer, songwriter, musician, director, producer, Oscar-winning actor, and vegan; these can only describe one person: Jared Leto.

I began this article not knowing that much about Leto aside from the fact that he recently won an Oscar. After only five minutes of research, I was blown away by the sheer amount of work that this one person has done, and done amazingly well.

Leto, for those of you who started out like me, is the lead singer, guitarist and founding member of the band 30 Seconds to Mars, which has always held a place of halfway between alternative and rock music.

On top of this, he has also directed nine music videos, produced three films and has acted in over twenty films. Some of his more famous acting parts include supporting roles in “Fight Club,” “Girl, Interrupted,” and “American Psycho.”

Most recently, and his more remembered role, Leto played Rayon in “Dallas Buyers Club” and won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Applause and awe are in order. Many of the rich and famous these days fall into either musicians or actors, very few in both. At the young age of 42, Leto has become a famed and award winning actor and musician, finding success in both the world of music and film.

But Leto’s talents don’t end there; he studied painting at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts before he switched to a study of acting at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. All Leto needs to do is try his hand at pottery and then he can officially check off just about every major art genre.

As of now, Leto is currently on tour with his band 30 Seconds to Mars. Along with this great band, in the tour comes Linkin Park and AFI, making it a triple threat. Not only is this tour hitting major US cities such as Tampa, Florida, and Camden, New York, but also major cities all over the world. Such as Minsk, Belarus; Kiev, Ukraine; Melbourne, Australia; Tokyo, Japan; Lima, Peru; Sofia, Bulgaria; and Vienna, France, to name a few.

These are only some of the places where concerts will be happening, such a wide range of concerts and places to visit fans in clear evidence of just how popular Leto has become, not just in the US.

Leto is truly the man who can do it all.
