Cozy footwear such as moccasins and Ugg – style boots remain popular for fall.

Some people refer to it as spooky season, cuffing season, or even pre-christmas season. No matter how you view it, the cold weather is here. The changing weather brings a change in clothes and many are forced to say goodbye to their rainbow flip flops and Chubbies shorts in exchange for a new set of season-appropiated clothing.

Be ready to be cozy and trendy because here is your survival guide to staying warm and looking good this upcoming fall.

The first and most obvious essential this fall is the apparel we all look forward to wearing, the sweater. These soft blankets keep you feeling toasty and looking good all at the same time.

“I always look forward to wearing my big sweaters come fall time,” said junior Elsa Iannotta.

Crewnecks, hoodies, and turtlenecks; sweaters will never go out of style. No size is too big or too small and virtually any color goes. Not to mention they are extremely comfy too.

They are also such a great platform to work off of: maybe throw a nice flannel on top your outfit to bring that whole cozy look together. Sweaters are the perfect combination of style and comfort

“You can never go wrong with sweaters or hoodies,” said senior Azi Rivera, “Personally speaking, wearing a quarter zip is the safest play you can make,”

These partial sweaters have a fully functional zipper that goes all the way up to protect your neck from the wind and they always fit just right.

The cold weather and leggings also brings some footwear we all have come to know so greatly. The Ugg boot has become the staple for female cold-weather fashion and has been seen nearly every single year since its rise in the early 2000s.

Men have tried their play on the Ugg boot, but the more suitable look for male footwear is the moccasin. They might not bring the same appeal as other shoes but they get a 10/10 on the comfort scale; just make sure you don’t doze off during class in these.

Bean boots are another essential for anyone trying to serve looks this fall. These “duck” looking boots bring together any fit and will keep your toes warm and dry all fall season long.

Some things always stay in style, no matter the season. Birkenstocks have taken the scene by storm and a little cold weather does not seem to scare them off. With or without socks, these sandals are here to stay all spooky season long.

Last but not least are your fall essential accessories for staying warm. Make sure you pack some warm mittens, fashionable knit hats, and even a nice scarf. Never let a windy day take you by surprise again.

In the end, though, fashion is whatever makes you feel the most confident. As long as you are comfortable and warm, there is no doubt that you will have a great fall season.
