During fourth period Advisory today, the annual Activities Fair took place. With the purpose of showcasing clubs and extracurriculars, students bustled into the main gym to view the 65+ available organizations. Students pointed to the fair as a good resource for club information.
“When I was a freshman, I didn’t really have any idea what clubs were available, and this really helped me understand which clubs were and what fit with my schedule,” said sophomore Evelyn Schulter of Philosophy Club.
A number of clubs opted to have candy available for students that visited their table.
“We’ve gotten a lot of attention, but a lot of people are just robbing us for candy,” said senior Derek Woodward of Cyber Patriots.
Further ulterior motives of attending the fair were woes of Advisory itself.
“I’m not here for the clubs, I just don’t want to do my homework,” said junior Lillian Knoll.
But overall, if a student was yearning to find an extracurricular outlet, the Activity Fair can be a source of vibrant possibilities.
“There’s so many options and you can really see what makes the school great,” said senior Liam Summers. “So many different people are doing so many unique things. It’s all really fun.”
