The solar eclipse, a phenomenon in which the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, was visible from school yesterday. Students and staff reported feeling excited, with some even traveling outside of the state to view it fully with protective eyewear.
“We all really wanted to see another [total eclipse] as it was such an amazing experience,” said junior Leela Brennig, who traveled to Indianapolis, Ind. to see the eclipse. This is Brennig’s second time seeing the total solar eclipse.
Principal Michael Mukai treated staff to an eclipse-themed gift: a CapriSun, Sun Chips and a pair of ISO-certified viewing glasses.
