Chart-topping pop sensation Taylor Swift is set to unveil “The Tortured Poets Department,” her latest album due for release tomorrow on April 19, sparking a frenzy of anticipation among the Swifties of WS.
“I’m going to stay up and listen to the album the second it comes out and then I’m going to listen to it for the rest of the day,” said freshman Soraya Craun, exemplifying the dedication Swift’s fans have for her music.
Craun is not the only fan with special plans for the album’s release day.
“I usually listen to Taylor Swift’s new albums with my sister,” said freshman Alexa Chetelat, illustrating the bond Swift’s music creates among her listeners.
The connection fans feel with Swift’s music often extends beyond streaming her latest hits.
“I have always heard her music on the radio and liked it, and I think I was really cemented as a fan when I went to the Eras Tour,” said freshman Claire Bowman.
As the release date for “The Tortured Poets Department” approaches, WS Swifties are eagerly exchanging theories, organizing album listening sessions, and marking their calendars for tomorrow morning’s early release.
