‘Walking Dead’ resurrected

The fourth season arrives on AMC

It’s back… The moment all zombie lovers have been waiting for: the return of the one of the most engaging TV shows in the history of television, the AMC zombie apocalypse series, “The Walking Dead.”

Season four premiered in mid-October and with all the ups and downs this show has experienced in the past, you wouldn’t be surprised to experience rollercoaster-like episodes again.

The new season kicked off with the main character, Rick, taking care of the crops and soil on a makeshift farm that he and the rest of the village has developed slowly but surely.

With the sound of brain hungry zombies (also known as walkers) screaming and flailing at the chain linked fence, which is protecting Rick from being a five-course meal to those walkers in the background,

Rick digs up a rusty old pistol from under the soil. Picking up the weapon, he looks at it, proceeding to throw it to the side, ignorant of the incessant walkers. This all begs the question; will we see a new Rick in this new season?

“I really love how characters develop over time and how the setting changes frequently,” said sophomore Lucas Riesbeck.

Ever since the start of this popular show in 2010, 50 different characters have come and gone and only four characters out of many from the original cast from season 1 remain at the start of this new season.

“The suspense of the show is really exciting, I feel like my heart is pounding at the end of each episode,” said sophomore Sara Laprea.

Based in the metropolitan Atlanta area, the cast fights for their life against not only walkers, but also against themselves and other human beings.

In this post-apocalyptic television series it seems that the complications and problems just keep adding up, building the suspense and drama as the characters struggle to survive.

It’s a constant fight, never knowing if, or where the characters will find themselves with each new day. It is this intrigue that keeps fans coming back, hungry for more.It seems that the dedicated fans of “The Walking Dead” loved the past 3 seasons and are really anxious to see what’s to come in this season.

“It’s an action packed show and it keeps me on the edge of my seat every scene of every episode. I look forward to a new episode every week,” says freshman Marcus Neguyen.
