‘Ultron’ is expecting ultra good ratings

The “Age of Ultron” is here… and it’s coming in with a bang.
The sequel to Marvels’ 2012 Avengers is finally making its way to the big screen. The film is coming out on May 1 and fans are expecting it to be one of the best superhero movies of the century.
Marvel’s first Avenger film was the definition of a blockbuster. In the opening weekend, the film grossed a record-breaking 1 billion dollars and set the record for the highest grossing film distributed by Disney (yes, it made more money than ‘Frozen’). Receiving a variety of awards for its powerful special effects and star studded cast, the film was deemed one of the most successful productions of the 21st entury.
The question now is whether or not “Age of Ultron” will fulfill the seemingly impossible expectations its predecessor has set. The previous film was so successful that some superhero fans and comic book geeks expect this sequel to be the greatest of all time, but not everyone is convinced.
“I expect the new movie to be subpar, I don’t have high expectations,” said freshman Kyle Mittaver.
In the past, superhero movies tended to be rather predictable, following the basic plot line of a city in danger due to a villain and a friendly hero saving the day.
Viewers get tired of watching the same basic plots, and begin to search for more unpredictable action that keeps them intrigued. What separates the Avengers films from other movies is not only the fact that everyone’s favorite super heroes team up, but there are constant twists and turns that keep fans wanting to watch more. At the end of most Marvel films after the credits, there is a scene that gives a hint as to who or what will appear in the next film. This genius tactic keeps viewers hungry for another film, and leaves a cliffhanger that fans can discuss until the next film arrives.
As opening day approaches, Avenger fanatics all across the world are getting ready to watch and be blown away by the sequel. Speculation as to what exactly will happen in the movie and how the heroes will survive the powerful wrath of Ultron continues to buzz around the Internet. What will happen at the end of the movie is yet to be discovered but people are already discussing what’s coming.
“There is no Spiderman, he should definitely be in the next movie,” said freshman Andrew Susa.
