Hopefully everyone is ready to watch our favorite crazy psychopathic killer who we should never want to encounter our lives because they are making another movie with the Joker in it, but this time it’s about his origins.

There is a new actor playing the Joker in the new movie, “Joker” (2019), and his name is Joaquin Phoenix and he is already getting fans hyped up with his recent reveal of the Joker costume.

In late September, Todd Phillips, the director, released a teaser of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker cracking a smile on his Instagram (toddphillips1). Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker follows the traditional appearance more faithfully than Jared Leto’s Joker in “Suicide Squad.” Phoenix’s makeup has a messier and creepier look characterized by high blue and red eyebrows, a red nose, and the iconic large red smile while lacking features from Jared Leto’s Joker such as tattoos and silvery teeth.

Many people may be confused with why the actor playing the Joker has switched from Jared Leto to Joaquin Phoenix. Contrary to popular belief, the switch was not due with Jared Leto’s performance, but rather because the producers wanted to take a different direction. As a matter of fact, Jared Leto of “Suicide Squad” will be playing the Joker in his own movie, the plot and release date are still unknown. Along with that it is unknown whether the movie will release before or after the sequel to Suicide Squad that is believed to go into production in 2019.

Some people believe it may cause problems to have two actors play the same roles, but Warner Bros has stated that the new Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix will be taking place in a separate DC Universe which allows for multiple actors with overlapping problem.

People are also discussing if Phoenix could be the next best Joker in the DC Films. Before Phoenix and Leto, there was Cesar Romero and Heath Ledger. Cesar Romero played the Joker in the 1960s and was the first Joker actor. Heath Ledger is regarded as one of the best Jokers so far because of his award-winning performance on the “Dark Knight” (2009). As a result, the hurdle is very high if Phoenix wants to put on the best Joker performance in history.

As for the details on the new Joker movie “Joker” (2019), information about its plot haven’t been released other than it will be about Joker’s origin and it will be directed by “The Hangover” and “Due Date’’s Todd Phillips, with executive producers and Martin Scorcese.
