They say the holidays are about getting together with family and making memories with your loved ones, but let’s not forget the real meaning of the holidays: giving gifts and spending money.

Rich or broke (most likely broke), this will be the only gift guide you’ll ever need for the rest of your life. But now is the time to spend some of that hard-earned cash from your part time job over the summer and put it to good use.

We all know that the holidays are the best time to show off your wealth. Basically, it’s a competition among family and friends to see who can spend the most money in the shortest amount of time. After all, what do you think your mom would like more? A 5-dollar mug or a brand-new Louis Vuitton wallet?

Watches are timeless. That said, no one wants a watch that just tells time anymore. The newest Apple watch not only tells time, but it also lets you draw on its 2-inch display, a necessity for any artist. On the topic of Apple, iPhones are by far the most popular, and their newest flagship phone is sleek, fast, and worth every single cent. But if for some reason you decide not to get an iPhone, Apple Airpods are a nice addition, especially with no headphone jack. Sure, you can get a similar product at a much cheaper price, but when was the last time someone was bragging about their newest Samsung phone? I mean don’t you just love spending that extra money for a phone to call, text, and watch YouTube? I sure do.

Old or young, everyone loves a nice pair of shoes. As the winter season takes place, a nice pair of UGGs or Timbs will compliment any outfit. Not only do they keep you warm, but they will match nicely with any pair of Lululemon leggings or Gucci jeans. And for that special someone, the Adidas Yeezys are guaranteed to make them stand out in the crowd. There’s just no such thing as spending too much money.

As the winter season is underway, binge watching Netflix is a great way to spend the holidays. To compliment your 75-inch 4k tv, why not go get a Bose soundbar as well? It’ll be a great upgrade from those built-in speakers and sounds great with deep bass, clear trebles, and a great excuse to sit in front of the TV all day and get away from all the holiday festivities.

Let’s all be honest here. This guide may have a few flaws, but I can see how it can’t be for everyone. I mean sure money isn’t everything, but people seem to struggle with the true meaning of the holidays. This is a time for everyone to be with each other and presents are just a way to show that you care. The best advice I can give is to not worry about who or what you’re getting, be grateful for what you already have.
