Cookies are known worldwide as one of the most popular desserts for people of all ages. Whether it is chocolate chip, sugar, or snickerdoodles, there is always something for someone. Insomnia Cookies gains popularity around WS as it boasts a plethora of delicious tasting cookies all for a reasonable price.

Insomnia Cookies is well known for its hours, opening at 9 in the morning and closing well past midnight, at 3 or 4 am. The store boasts many different flavors from chocolate chunk to oatmeal raisin and white chocolate macadamia to s’mores.

These cookies are a perfect combination of chewy and crunchy. The outside is perfectly crisp and the inside is nice and gooey that just melts in your mouth. Not only are these cookies perfectly baked, but they serve them nice and warm which compliments the cool air of D.C. They also have cookie ice-cream sandwiches where you can choose the two cookies you want and any of their many ice-cream flavors. Whether it is a cold winter evening or hot summer day, Insomnia Cookies has something for everyone.

My favorite was the white chocolate macadamia nut cookies which were absolutely delicious. With a soft white chocolate center with macadamia nuts that littered the cookie, it was a perfect blend of sweet and nutty flavor that made these cookies stand out from those you buy in a store.

Whether you get a single cookie, a dozen, or two dozen, there is no wrong choice because in the end everyone loves cookies.
