TV shows have an impact on this generation like no other. Now that all our favorite TV shows are at our fingertips we can watch them whenever we want. Teenagers have a TV show that they watch when they’re bored or have time to kill. One main reason for this is because the TV show that they always watch gives them comfort. A show that can fulfill that need is Friends.
Friends is a comedy that first aired in 1994 and still has an impact on teens today. It’s about a group of six friends in their twenties who together struggle with almost every life situation imaginable. While Friends is for a more mature audience, it has its wholesome moments that can make you smile, laugh, and sometimes cry (in a good way of course). Most importantly, it provides emotional support for you when you need it.
I enjoy watching the show because of its remarkable ability to make me laugh and bring light to different situations. The characters enjoy making jokes about each other’s struggles without hurting one another. The show also stands out because of the main characters. Their different personalities and interests allow more people to connect with the characters. Seeing them all grow as people throughout the seasons is also something I liked. The characters, in the beginning, are trying to find stable jobs and towards the end, they become more independent and it inspires me.
The show was very successful because of how well the viewers connected to the show. The characters are seen going through things that everyone will go through at some point in life. Seeing someone else undergo the same things you are can comfort you and show you that you aren’t alone. Usually, when people need reassurance they want to talk to someone who has been through the same thing. Sometimes people would rather know that they aren’t alone instead of being told to cheer up.
The show is also very good at bringing light to some situations and making you laugh when you’re down. Every episode will make you smile or laugh without a doubt. If you are the type of person who wants to laugh at the situation or see it in a different light, Friends can help with that.
Overall, the show Friends is a great show to watch when you need some comfort. Seeing the characters struggle with all these situations and then be able to laugh about them is amazing. Friends can help comfort you by showing you that you are not alone and that there is always sunshine after a storm.
