Friends, family, teachers and administrators last week celebrated the life of senior Paola Izaguirre, who died in a recent automobile accident in Clifton.
Izaguirre is remembered for her “determination, her feisty personality and her dedication to working long hours at Popeye’s to help her family,” English Department Chair Jennifer Beach, one of Izaguirre’s teachers, said. “She was a charming, outgoing and resilient girl who had already overcome a lot in her life.”
Friends of Isaguirre’s have started a Go Fund Me page to help the family pay for expenses. Those who wish to donate should visit www.gofundme.com/ouki60.
“Anyone who knew Paola knows that she had a huge heart and would help anyone who needed it,” said Jackeline Garcia, who started the Go Fund Me page. “She was always smiling and such a bright person.”
