Peer tutoring, an organization dedicated to the enrichment of student education, has started back up during advisory.
“Peer tutoring is great not only because I love to help other people, but by tutoring them I also figure out problems I have in my own classes” said junior and tutor Marcus Reese.
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors have cultivated an environment for academic success through peer tutoring. Every peer tutor is skilled in a specific school area, ranging from world languages to college math. This team of tutors creates a welcoming atmosphere for students who might be hesitant to reach out to an adult for help. This previously established club has moved its timing to advisory for better access to students unavailable after school. With this new time change, peer tutors hope to bring in more students needing assistance with open arms.
