WS senior Ilana Cohen joined the almost 300,000 people who gathered in Washington, D.C. this past Tuesday to support Israelis and combat the rising anti-semitism occurring from the Israel-Palestine conflict.
“[I went] to feel pride and find the light in dark moments. Coming together as a big community was really impactful. A lot of [the rally] was somber and about prayer and feeling for the lives lost. Other parts were about being proud of who we are, and showing the world that we’re a strong community and that we’re here to stay. Really, it was just showing each other that we weren’t alone in all this,” said Cohen.
