Protestors have been destroying the American flag to show their anger and frustration toward the government. This, however, is disrespectful to those who come to the United States in search of freedom and hope. These values are represented by the American flag.

A symbol of hope turns hateful

Spartan Leslie Sherman, who graduated in 2005, was known for being friendly, fun-loving and spontaneous. She also devoted a lot of time to helping others. The National Honor Society’s Senior Prom at Greenspring Village, is just one example of Sherman’s altruistic values. Sherman was a history and international relations major at Virginia Tech, where she died 10 years ago.
