With the conclusion of Homecoming spirit week, students flaunted their grade assigned colors for “Class Colors Day.” Freshmen were decked out in gray, sophomores dawned white hues, juniors shined in orange, and seniors were seen wearing blue.
This commonly occurring spirit day was met with Spartans feeling “whelmed” due to a myriad of minor issues.
“[The spirit day] was fine. [It was] hard to find orange [clothing] though,” said junior Mat Hemmer. “I know my friend got nervous because he thought people were going to think he’s a different grade because he was wearing white.”
Furthermore, participation in this spirit day was at a lower level in comparison to days previous in the week.
“I didn’t see tons of people actually wearing the class colors, especially the freshman,” said freshmen Liz Garcia Di Benedetto.
Overall, this spirit day was a less striking experience, but with the Homecoming football game ensuing and the dance on the horizon, WS school spirit is not a diminished force.
