An estimated 17 buses broke down and 86 were delayed according to busdelay.fcps.edu on the delayed-start school day following the first snow day of this school year. Bus delays were as short as 10 minutes and as long as an hour or more. Some students also received phone and text messages from FCPS Transportation reporting that bus route 16 could not stop at all bus stops due to icy road conditions, leaving those students to find their own transportation to school.
